Owies...

John and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year by going to Hawaii (post coming up)!! My sister and her husband joined us as well. We left the kids for 10 whole days with John's parents. While we were gone - they had to deal with sick kids (staph infection and stomach virus). Not only that, both Lily and Zane - in separate events - got major black eyes. Lily and Evan and their cousin were in a wagon being pulled by their older cousin when the wagon tipped and poor Lily's face was REALLY scraped up. Zane was jumping on the trampoline at his cousin's house and fell and bumped his eye.

These pictures were taken when we got home - 4 days or so after they had been hurt - so Lily's face actually looks a lot better here than it did at the beginning. John's Mom took a picture of it on her phone to text to me in Hawaii - but it didn't work for some reason, and thank goodness! It looked really terrible!! Her poor eye was swollen shut! The scabs are all gone now, and just a little redness remains that seems to be getting better every day.
