John and Zane took a short trip out to Fort Pearce this weekend. It's a old fort ruin with some petroglyphs built in pioneer times to protect a water source during the Black Hawk War. It's only a few miles from town. They had fun walking around the "pee lake" and finding lizards. Good father-son bonding. I'm not even mad that John let Zane ride home in the front seat. =)
